Why do I need a Help to Buy valuation?

If you’ve purchased a property using the government’s Help to Buy scheme, then you’ll be required to produce a Help to Buy valuation report upon selling, remortgaging or buying more equity to send to Target HCA. This is because when you purchase a Help to Buy property, you will have entered into a contract with Target HCA who will own a percentage of the property. The home valuation will need to be carried out by an independent, RICS Chartered Surveyor to ensure that you repay the correct amount. This amount is based on the current market value of your property and not the initial loan amount.

How do you make a Help to Buy valuation?

One of our Chartered Surveyors will make a visit to your Help to Buy property and carry out an inspection of your home. All of our highly-knowledgeable Chartered Surveyors have fantastic knowledge of Billericay and surrounding areas. The home inspection, local knowledge and the housing market are combined to create an accurate report. This will then be sent to the Target HCA who will calculate an accurate repayment figure.
