Why do I need a Help to Buy Valuation?
The Help to Buy scheme is a shared equity incentive introduced by the Government where first-time buyers can borrow up to 20% of the value of their new home. When purchasing a Help to Buy home, you enter into a contract with Target HCA, who own a percentage of the equity in your property.

How do you make a valuation?
A chartered surveyor with knowledge of the local area and housing market will visit your home to undertake an inspection to compose a Help to Buy report.
Your Help to Buy Valuation report will tell you the current value of your home and will be valid for 3-months, so it’s important that you only commission a chartered surveyor when you’re in the position to sell, remortgage or buy more equity.
